Balancing Act: Juggling Family, Real Estate, and Golf with Purpose and Passion

Balancing family life, golf, and managing a real estate team is a full-time commitment, but one I wouldn’t trade for anything. As a husband, father of two active daughters, and golf enthusiast, I work daily to find harmony between personal passions and professional responsibilities. Leading the Eagle Homes Team alongside Brad, I’m dedicated to more than just closing deals; I’m here to help families make one of the biggest investments of their lives while building long-term relationships rooted in trust and reliability.

Real estate is more than a career; it’s a means of supporting my family and fueling our dreams. Many people view real estate as a side gig, but for agents like me, it’s a primary source of income. It covers essential needs—like insurance, mortgage payments, and food on the table. It also supports my kids’ sports and activities and enables us to enjoy simple pleasures like a weekend on the golf course. This career allows me the flexibility to be involved in my family’s lives, whether it’s attending a doctor’s appointment, being on the sidelines cheering my daughters on at their games, or just spending time with them after a long day.

Weekends are often the busiest time in real estate, filled with client showings, open houses, and responding to offers. Balancing all of that with family time takes discipline and commitment. Early mornings have become crucial for staying organized and finding time for myself. I start my day at 4 am, not only to handle work tasks but also to have some quiet moments before the household wakes up. This is my time to focus, gather my thoughts, and plan the day. From managing listings to responding to client emails, I use this early window to stay ahead of my schedule.

Working around my daughters’ school and sports schedules is another challenge. Both are active in sports, and it’s important for me to be there to cheer them on and support their dreams, just as I want them to see the hard work I put into mine. Sometimes, that means making quick adjustments in my schedule to fit in a doctor’s appointment or help them with practice. They even enjoy getting involved by helping me stuff envelopes or set up my workspace—a small but meaningful way they feel connected to what I do.

Relationships are everything in real estate. My clients aren’t just names in a database; they’re people making major life decisions. Building genuine connections with clients is something I prioritize. It’s about being there for them, not only to guide them through buying or selling a home but also to listen to their needs, understand their goals, and be a resource for years to come. Clients often reach out long after a transaction is closed for advice or referrals, and I’m honored to be a trusted part of their journey.

Time management is key in making it all work. By staying organized and respecting my calendar, I find balance. Real estate may be demanding, but the rewards are immense. I get to support my family, be present for my daughters, and connect with clients in a meaningful way. Managing all of this allows me to live a full life, doing what I love while supporting those who matter most to me. It’s busy, but with purpose and planning, everything falls into place.
